Manually applying tape to long, fragile glass is not only inefficient and labor-intensive but also carries a high risk of breakage. To address this, DAAP developed an automated taping system that applies double-sided tape as the glass moves along the conveyor.
Large glass panels require stable, low-vibration transport. Workers simply place the glass onto the conveyor belt, which is designed to minimize scratches on delicate mirror surfaces and polished glass during transport. Made from specialized materials, the belt helps protect delicate mirror surfaces and polished glass from scratches during transport.
As the glass moves down the conveyor belt, the machine starts applying the tape. Taping smooth glass can be tricky because the glass can easily break, especially when the tape is cut. To prevent this, the tape's tightness and the air pressure must be carefully controlled.
To solve this problem, our machine uses special soft rubber rollers to press the tape down evenly. This makes sure the tape sticks perfectly without pressing too hard and damaging the glass.

Safety is paramount when handling heavy glass with sharp edges. We have integrated a smart automatic stop function into the production line.
When the taped glass reaches the end of the conveyor, sensors immediately detect its presence and automaically stops the conveyor, preventing the glass from falling off the edge. The equipment remains paused, allowing workers to safely remove the finished glass before the next piece is conveyed.
By replacing manual taping with an automated process, manufacturers can reduce material waste caused by accidental glass breakage while improving production efficiency. Capable of handling glass of various sizes and weights, this equipment transforms a hazardous, slow manual task into an efficient, safe, and reliable automated process.
