Proper daily maintenance of cutting machines can ensure cutting accuracy, reduce the probability of failure, extend the service life of the equipment, and minimize the losses caused by unexpected production halts in the factory. It is recommended to carry out inspection and maintenance before starting each shift and after completing the work.

Check before startup

*Safety components: Check whether the emergency stop button and safety guard are in good condition and operate sensitively and reliably.

*Cutting tools: Check if the blade has chipped edges, cracks, wear or deformation, and confirm that the blade is securely locked. Replace the damaged blade in time to avoid cutting defects and potential safety hazards.

*Fasteners: Inspect the bolts and nuts at the main shaft, worktable, fixtures and other parts. Tighten them promptly if any looseness is found.

*Circuit connection: Check if the outer skin of the power cord and wiring positions is damaged or if the copper wire is exposed. Make sure the equipment is well grounded to prevent leakage.

*Transmission and guide rails: Inspect the guide rails, racks, and transmission belts, and pay attention to whether there are any abnormal noises, vibrations, or belt slippage.

Maintenance after the work is completed

*Equipment cleaning: Clean the waste and dust on the workbench, cutting area and guide rails. Soft brushes or compressed air can be used for cleaning. The accumulation of waste materials will accelerate wear and tear and cause equipment to get stuck.

*Lubrication and maintenance: Add lubricating oil recommended by the equipment manufacturer to moving parts such as guide rails and bearings. Do not apply excessive oil as excess grease can easily attract dust.

*For hydraulic/pneumatic models: Check the oil pipe and air pipe joints to see if there is any oil or air leakage.

*Proper shutdown: Exit the cutting program, turn off the main power supply and gas source, and tidy up the operation site.

Inspection during operation

*When the equipment is in operation, pay attention to abnormal sounds, severe vibrations, overheating of the body, and burnt odors. Once any abnormality is detected, stop the machine immediately for investigation.

 *Keep the cutting area dry and try to avoid cutting materials containing hard impurities.
